The Delegate Assembly consists of the delegates of the Member Organizations and the Expert Associations and is the superior instance of the Swiss Academy of Sciences.

A meeting of the Delegate Assembly is usually convened by the Board once a year. The President of the Academy and the Board members are elected at this meeting.

The delegates decide on the Academy’s strategic orientation and priorities. They also assess the establishment and termination of the SCNAT platforms. The Delegate Assembly also approves the creation of new platforms and projects and the acceptance of new members.
