CH-QUAT: Société suisse pour la recherche sur le quaternaire

The last year 2011 was the year of INQUA conference organized by University of Bern.  CH-QUAT took active part as organizers, participants as well as organizers of the conference excursions. The founds from SCNAT were sued to support young scientist both internationally as well in the country, which allowed their participation in this event.  CH-QUAT was present with a booth which resulted in recruiting of new members, mostly young people: students and researchers. A very successful   session was organized at the Swiss Geosciences Meeting in Zurich (12 November, 2011). Once again the session was popular with students.

29 excursions were organized, 700 participants

14 students were supported with 300 CHF (registration fee at INQUA congress) --all members of CH-QUAT

During this year our web page became a communication tool. With 2 web responsible members of the steering board we are able to keep the web updated.
